Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Drift ("Service"), a product operated by JNMG Ventures ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Drift is a private journaling application that provides a calm, distraction-free environment for writing. The Service includes:

• Desktop applications for macOS, Windows, and Linux
• Local-first data storage on your device
• Live background environments for peaceful writing
• Device synchronization (coming soon)

License and Purchase

Drift operates on a one-time purchase model with no subscriptions or recurring fees.

License Grant

Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Drift on up to 3 devices simultaneously. Your license key can be:

• Activated on up to 3 devices
• Deactivated from devices to free up slots
• Used on any combination of supported platforms

Pricing and Payment

All purchases are one-time payments. Prices are listed in USD and may vary by region. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with Drift within 14 days of purchase, contact us at support@driftjournal.app for a full refund.

User Accounts

To use Drift, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account and password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Your Content

You retain all rights to your writing and content created in Drift. Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

You are solely responsible for backing up your content. We recommend regular backups to prevent data loss.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Share your license key with others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Circumvent device activation limits

Updates and Maintenance

We may provide updates, bug fixes, and improvements to Drift. Your license includes all updates for the lifetime of the product. However, we reserve the right to:

• Discontinue support for older operating system versions
• Perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service
• Modify or discontinue features with notice

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and license immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
